GlossyBox Unboxed | Jan 2019

Hey everyone!

I hope you’re all surviving the longest month of the year! As part of my New Year, Self Love content I thought it would be a great idea to do a GlossyBox unboxing. If you follow me on Instagram then you will see I’m always posting about GlossyBox on my page, I’ve been subscribed since September last year and legit get so excited on GlossyBox day. As a mum, I don’t have time (or the money) to treat myself to half as much beauty products I used to. So for £13.25 (that includes postage), you can’t go wrong. You’re receiving a present to you, from you, straight to your door each month. You don’t know what you’re gonna get and are guaranteed  5 or 6 products every box. It is honestly so worth it and you get so much more for your money as well as discovering new brands and products. I’ve not had a bad box yet! This month was all about out with the old and in with the new, full of products for the perfect pamper session and to get you feeling fresh and ready for the year ahead.

Avant Skincare Deluxe Hyaluronic Acid Vivifying Face & Eye Night Cream, RRP £98

Straight away you have got more than you paid for. I’ve been looking for a moisturiser cream for a while now and had no idea where to start in trying products out to find a good one. I’ve been using this for a few days now and it goes on so smooth and feels so silky. I am a bit gutted about the price tag as it’s not something I could afford to splurge out on, but it’s an amazing product to receive and I’ll enjoy it while it lasts.

Batiste Rethink Dry Shampoo (Deluxe Mini, 50ml), RRP £1.50 (Full Size, 200ml – £4.50)

Batiste have released a new range of Dry Shampoo and the Mini ones were part of this month’s GlossyBox. I received ‘Damage Control’ which is for weak and damaged hair, like mine after years of bleach 🙁 I’ve yet to try it but it’s really handy to keep in my bag so I can use it on the go. My hair gets greasy quickly this time of year due to the salt water from the sea mixing into the wind and completely ruining my every other day hair wash routine.

Wilkinson Sword Eyebrow Shaper, RRP £3.99

You get three blades in this pack which, I think, is really good for the price. I haven’t given this one a go yet as I’m out this weekend and knowing my luck I’ll lose a bloody eyebrow! It says it can also be used to remove hairs from your face too – not have a full on shave of your tash, just those annoying fine hairs you can occasionally get. Again, it’s not something that I would have gone out to buy but am looking forward to testing it out.

Hask Repairing Deep Conditioning Treatment, RRP £2.49

Yes, yes and yes! This was something I needed to fall into my life. Hair masks are always something I need but forget to get. There were four different masks you could receive and I got the Argan Oil one. Just massage into wet hair and leave for 5/10 minutes before rinsing out. I’m going to use this tomorrow in my ‘pre night out’ prep.

-417 Facial Micro Luffa Foaming Gel (Deluxe Mini 100ml), RRP £13.31 (Full Size, 200ml – £22.71)

I love a good exfoliator and having just run out of my No7 exfoliator, it was as if GlossyBox just knew what I needed. The amazing thing about this though, not only does it exfoliate your skin, it removes your make up at the same time! Just apply on damp skin and massage in circular motions to get rid of your make up and rid your skin of dead skin cells. Leaving your skin feeling super soft and fresh!

And that’s it! As you can see you’ve got your money back almost ten times over! As much as I love opening my box each month to make up, I couldn’t think of a better combo of products for a New Year box. GlossyBox have covered everything, and let’s face it, we all need a bit of a pamper and refresh after gorging on Christmas food and drinking a small ocean of Prosecco. Plus, if all the above isn’t enough to make you NEED GlossyBox in your life, each month you’ll be able to take part in quick surveys about the products from the box and earn credit which can be redeemed on Look Fantastic. Win, win, win!

To sign up click here and get 20% off your first box! Next month’s box includes a Huda Beauty Lip Contour Pencil (worth £16)!

Wow a product inclusion that should have been £98?! I bet that’s been a lovely thing to use but it would have to be a miracle worker for me to pay that too. You got some great things in this one!

You got so many good things here! I’m always afraid to try subscription boxes because I have really sensitive skin, I’m always worried that I’ll end up wasting my money. I love a good hair mask though, mine is really long so my ends can get quite dry. The damage control dry shampoo sounds really interesting x
