Apologies for the delayed GlossyBox unboxing post! June was a crazy busy month but I couldn’t not tell you guys all about June’s box. This month we were invited to the GlossyBox Summer Soirée, and included all the essentials needed for those summer BBQs and wedding season etc.
Avant Pro Perfecting Collagen Touche Éclat Primer, RRP £85
Back in January we were treated to a night cream by Avant and it was beyond amazing. I knew we were getting another product from them this month and I couldn’t wait. The fact that it was a primer was even better. I love a good primer and swear by one in my daily make up routine. My initial reaction when I opened it was slight disappointment. The texture wasn’t thick like my normal primers but more lightweight and silky. After applying it didn’t feel as though my make up would latch on and it would last. Boy was I fooled. I can’t believe how well my make up still looks after a full day out after travelling on public transport, being at work and even in the hot weather we’ve had. I have never had anything work so well and I’m going to be so sad when it runs out and I have to fork out for another one haha.
Hask Deep Conditioning Treatment, RRP 2.49
Now we’ve had a few hair masks this year but I really don’t mind getting them in my box. They’re always the thing you need but always forget, so getting one sent to my door every few months helps me and my forgetful self out. There was 1 of 3 to receive this month. I got the Cabernet Sauvignon Deep Conditioner, it was the first thing I used straight after getting my box and my hair felt soooo good after using it.
ModelCo Lip Crème Matte, RRP £15
I have more lipglosses, lipsticks, lip balm than I can count but it’s still never enough and it doesn’t get any better when you get another nude to add to your collection. If I’m not wearing a lip balm then my go to lip colour is nude and 9 times out of 10 I go for matte. There’s nothing worse than putting gloss on and a gust of wind blowing your hair onto your lips. It’s long-lasting and has a highly-pigmented colour and has served me well the few times I’ve worn it.
Sleek Makeup Face Form Contouring Palette, RRP £9.99
Wasn’t over the moon with receiving a Sleek Makeup product as I had tried this brand out years ago and it wasn’t all that. The contouring palette includes a matte contour powder, blush and highlighter and I did try it out so that I could form an updated opinion. Not gonna lie, I’ve used it a few times over the past month, the highlighter really pops and I’ve been quite impressed with it.
Meech N Mia Eyeshadow Chubby Stix, RRP £12.99
This is the only product I’ve not yet tried but it boasts a rich and creamy formula that applies effortlessly. I rarely wear any kind of eyeshadow but this gold colour would definitely fit in with my normal make up look if I was going to add eyeshadow to the mix.
Another impressive box which again included 5 FULL SIZED products totalling over £125! That’s your money’s worth more than 10 times over. If you want to start receiving GlossyBox and get some amazing products each month then click here to subscribe. You can use code HOLLIEC20 to get 20% off too!
July’s box includes a Moroccanoil Treatment product which I have already tried and it’s a winner!
