How to Achieve a Flawless Natural Make Up Look

Flawless Make up Look

I posted a selfie on my Instagram recently and was taken aback on how many messages I had asking what makeup I had used to create the flawless natural make up look, especially what foundation I had on. People couldn’t believe when I had said that my foundation cost just £5! So I thought I’d put together a post of the products I use for an everyday look, most of which can be purchased on Lookfantastic.

Natural Make up look

bareMinerals Prime Time

RRP £25

I always start off with a primer and have a few faves that I like to switch and change regularly. I have been using the bareMinerals Prime Time religiously ever since receiving it in the Glossybox X bareMinerals Limited Edition box. I’ve been scraping every last bit out and finally think it’s time to accept the fact I need to get a new one haha! It glides on so smoothly and really does keep my make up in place. I never used to think a primer was that important in a make up routine and would either wear a really cheap one (that did nothing) or just skip it all together. My make-up would be practically gone off my face by lunchtime and was so frustrating. I started to try out some more expensive primers and was amazed at the difference it made! I would 100% recommend splurging a little bit more on a primer, it makes such a difference.

Makeup Revolution Matte Base Foundation

RRP £5

From an expensive primer to a budget foundation. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love the Make Up Revolution foundation range. I have been impressed with all of the different formats they have brought out but I am always drawn back to the Matte Base foundation. I own some pretty steep priced designer foundations and this one is still my go to near on every single day!

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer

RRP £4

I will shout about this concealer for all of my days. This was an absolute game changer when it was released! I use shade C1 and dab under my eyes, forehead, down my nose and on my cupids bow to highlight and accentuate my features. It boasts maximum coverage and lasts all freaking day!

Makeup Revolution have just upped their game and released an even more amazing concealer, Conceal & Define Infinite Longwear Concealer. Trust me, IT. IS. INSANE!

bareMinerals Endless Summer Bronzer

RRP £26

Pictured is a mini version of the bareMinerals Endless Summer Bronzer, the full sized one is priced as above. I only use a small amount to sweep across my cheekbones and the outer sides of my forehead to give a slight colour but keeping with the minimal flawless natural make up look.

Benefit Gimmie Brow

RRP £22.50

The easiest brow product I have ever used! Literally takes me about 30 seconds to create the perfect brow thanks to the tapered wand which gives me volume and fullness. (Pictured is the mini version which can be purchased for almost half the price here).

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

RRP £24

Set the look with the holy grail of all makeup products, Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray. I have only been using this for around a year but had been hearing about it for so long beforehand. I was skeptical, Youtubers and Bloggers were raving about it but for me, £24 was a lot to spend on a spray. I finally went for it after it went on sale and I now can’t live without it. It finishes your look and holds all your make up in place (anyone remember the craze where we would spray hairspray in our face to set make up…). The product itself lasts for ages as well, this is only my second one over about a year. Definitely worth the money, it’s a must have!

And Voila...

Hollie Cagney - natural make up look

A very simple and flawless natural make up look (with the help of some good natural lighting). Finish off with a coat of mascara, (I have classic lash extensions hence why not listed above) and a some lip balm. I use the Cocoa Butter Lip Therapy Vaseline. The look is perfect for work or just a casual day where you don’t want to look too done up and takes 15-20 mins max to do 🙂
