I was off work sick all week last week, so it was a lovely surprise to unexpectedly receive the PIXI Hydrating Milky Collection! I had no idea it was coming and almost took my poor delivery woman’s hand off when I saw the pastel green PIXI box she was holding. This is my first ever PIXI PR package and I am obsessed with the attention to detail of the packaging.
Now, I have to admit, I am absolutely terrible when it comes to skincare routine and taking my make up off at night. I always feel a bit lost when trying to find creams and moisturisers etc, so this skincare bundle was very welcome! I have been trying out all the products in a routine over the last few days as wanted to test them out before putting together this blog post.
There are 6 products which represent the six steps to achieve soft, hydrated skin.
Disclaimer: I was gifted these products as part of being on the PIXI PR list, however I was under no obligation to review. All views are my own.
Step 1 – Remove
The name says it all. Use to remove make up, including waterproof make up. As well as removing make up, it also hydrates the skin, leaving it ready for the next steps in your cleansing routine.
Step 2 – Cleanse
Next we need to cleanse the skin using a coin sized amount of the PIXI hydrating milky cleanser. The texture of this feels quite sticky when massaging it onto the skin but once done, rinse off with water.
Step 3 – Peel
Exfoliate and refine pores by applying a thin layer of this milky peel and leaving on for a few minutes before rinsing off. It leaves your skin conditioned and smooth, ready for the final three steps.
Step 4 – Tone
I love the PIXI tonics, i have been using the Rose one for around a year and I’m obsessed. Soak a cotton pad in it and gently wipe across your face and down the neck. I use mine daily both in the morning and before I go to bed.
Step 6 – Moisturise
Finally finish off with the hydrating milky lotion, not just to be used on your face but hands and body too. The lotion nourishes, moisturises and protects your skin. Be careful when applying though as I found loads comes out at once.
I loved the PIXI Beauty Hydrating Milky Collection and it’s actually felt quite refreshing having a skincare routine in the evening. I’ve been using all the products before bed doing the full 6 steps however a few nights I’ve just done the last 3.
My skin hasn’t felt as dry and I’ve found my make up has been going on better in the morning as well. I’m going to keep up the routine and see how my skin is after a month and update you all. I have linked all the products below 🙂
